Dear Father Angelo,
I warmly congratulate you on the service you offer to those who still have faith in their hearts. In times when materialism engulfs even people’s thoughts, in which everyone wants to believe in the church’s plot, falling into a much bigger plot, she offers concrete answers and manages, something not obvious, to give simple answers to simple questions and articulated answers to those who want to deepen the topics.
I am a professional, husband and father of two beautiful children. I was a Christian full of passion. A connoisseur of the bible as every Christian should be and above all I was serene in everyday life. Then everything changed. At an extremely delicate moment in my life (my wife was diagnosed with a terrible disease) a person appeared in my life, full of understanding and good advice on how to deal with the critical issues that the condition brought into my life. Never in those days did he speak of Freemasonry. When my wife’s situation recovered, I was the one who sought him out of friendship and gratitude. In those moments he proposed to me to become part of a decidedly important cultural project and he did so in the presence of people, his affiliates, apparently of great social and cultural depth: magistrates, principals and academic professors. I thought it might be a good job opportunity and decided to join. Up to that point no one ever spoke of Freemasonry. I don’t want to bore you with lengthy details, but at some point the veil fell.
I simply asked a colleague, a professor of religion for thirty years in Italian schools and a former priest, to explain to me some passages from the book of Exodus, in particular why it was God who hardened the heart of the pharaoh to unleash his wrath on the Egyptian people, when the pharaoh more than once wanted to free them and indeed proposed that Moses, once he went out, made a sacrifice to God on his own. By this question, I was overwhelmed by a flood of testimonies against every dogma of the Catholic Church. Without delaying point by point, the extremely narrow thesis is that the one God of the Old Testament does not exist, the elohim are an alien race that divided the peoples of the earth, and the people of Israel bequeathed to Yahweh, young and reckless God of war and bad-tempered armies with a wife Asherah (confirmed in the Book of Kings which mentions a statue of him in the temple of Yahweh in Jerusalem) who with his small paramilitary camp commanded by his general Moses had to demonstrate what he could conquer to the major deities. Obviously, the translations of the Sumerian tablets kept in the new library of Alexandria in Egypt and in the Coptic monastery of San Matteo south of Cairo, finds existing today and dated centuries before the birth of Hebrew writing, brought me to confirm these theses. So, according to them, it is a fact that the Genesis stories (creation, Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, the flood) were taken step by step from the Sumerian tablets and not inspired by God. I discovered the first divine trinity in history: Anu, Enlil and Enki. Then the second Isis, Osiris and Orus, then I understood that the trinity works on the faithful. And this is easily demonstrated by anyone, just order a book or take a plane to take a vacation to Egypt. Among other things, Einstein’s theory of relativity of time, Darwin’s theory of evolution of the species (naturally both Freemasons) and other things such as the atomic bomb were derived from the Sumerian tablets.
Of course, the discovery of these and many other things put my Christian faith into question, which up to that moment was the bulwark and beacon of my life. And I started to suffer. In my desire to find flaws in their theories, I began to study everything. From the texts of Tertullian, Ireneo and Origen, I discovered Celso, Marcione and Valentino. But is it possible that in order to see a hard and detailed reaction to gnosis, the real and perhaps the only very serious danger for Christianity, we need to obtain texts that are 17 centuries old? And in the end Tertullian joining the Montanist movement declared the need to change to enrich the spirit, getting closer in some ways to what he fought for a lifetime. Then the visits to the churches, with a negative anecdote for each prelate and for each cult, up to the true meaning of the crib. All this to make her understand, in short, the work of uprooting the Catholic belief from my heart and the attempt to replace it with pure hatred of the church. Dear Father Angelo, I believe that if in this world we are lucky enough to believe in something, we must defend it as a treasure in the heart. Regardless of whether this is true or not, it helps us move forward, accept our human and mortal condition, and have values with which to raise our children. This is why what they did to me was so painful. But I did not take blindfolded limp steps through the pillars of their Hiramite temple. I pulled myself out, but not by faith. I do not agree with the aims.
Even if the Catholic Church were that huge fiction, which they criticize, it would certainly be better than their alternative. Even if no prelate in Rome believed in Jesus, as they say, they would still be better than Freemasons with their devious techniques of mental submission. I’d like to go back, but I’m poisoned. Not a Mason and not a Christian as before. I suffer. My family made me open my eyes. They were isolating me and when I realized that I took two steps back.
Excuse me Father Angelo, maybe I used your email in an inappropriate way, maybe nobody will care about my story, but I have read many of your answers and I would like to know, even in private, what you mainly think of the Sumerian tablets, because every time that I try a theological reconstruction to give meaning to my faith, I always end up there.
I would like to ask you questions about the malachim, since I see a keen interest of the faithful in angels, and I would like to talk to you about the figure of Saint Paul and his apostolic journeys.
Freemasonry is dangerous for its purposes. My colleagues have connections in the curia and the Vatican. They consider the Catholic Church now dying. They started a pincer action starting from Turin, with Biglino attacking the old testament, Donnini attacking the historical figure of Jesus stripping it of all sanctity and Sibaldi inserting himself with an esoteric and alternative spirituality. They already have tens of thousands of followers. Justin, in the first apologia says that even if in Jesus (absurdly) there was no divinity, only for the tenor of what he preaches should be considered greater than the pagan divinities, so dear to the Masons. But how many tears I have when I read the gospel. I would like to find that serenity and security in life.
Thank you, if you have had the goodness to read what looks more like an outburst than a question. I hope that the church will decide to give concrete answers to the spiritual urgencies of so many confused believers. I hope that, for once, we fight fire with fire. I hope you believe and don’t consider your position just a job.
Goodnight Father Angelo, I hope with all my heart that Freemasonry is wrong.

The answer of the priest

Dearest,
1. Unfortunately, the people you met have taken away the dearest and most precious thing in the world: the conversation with God, the communion with God from heart to heart
You felt it first.
You felt that he spoke to you, that he enlightened you, that he led and supported you.
You felt that he consoled you and gave you affection through so many gifts (kindness and thanks).
Then meeting those people, and in particular that former priest who nevertheless wanted to teach the Catholic religion in schools for 30 years, a veil was placed on Jesus and you left this veil where they put it.
2. Instead of being impressed by their talks, you should have intensified your lively and intimate conversation with the Lord.
And maybe even ask him: Lord, is everything true what they say?
Perhaps the Lord would have spoken to you and would have told you: look, that of the Sumerians is not the Trinity.
Because the Trinity is the only God who subsists in three Persons. While for the Sumerians it was polytheism.
Furthermore, if the Jews had remained influenced by the Sumerian culture, why is there not even an explicit mention of the Trinity in the Old Testament?
Indeed we know this for sure: that the Jews did not want to allow themselves to be contaminated in any way by pagan religions.
Yahweh has always shown and declared himself as a jealous god.
And the Jews took pride in having a divinity other than the vain idols of the pagan nations.
3. If you had gone straight to Jesus He would not have left you unanswered.
And the next day you would have returned to these pundits – starting with the former priest – and you would have blown them away with two simple observations.

4. You, on the other hand, at that moment, the worst of your life, let yourself be carried away from Jesus.
You began to doubt him, as if the love story you had lived with him up to now had been no more than a dream.
You should have felt that their speeches, cloaked in so much culture (who knows if true and authentic!), were contradictory with what you felt in your heart.
Of course at that moment you were unable to respond because the conversation suddenly fell apart. But you didn’t have to question everything.
And instead of reading Montano or even Tertullian (later passed to heresy) and then Celsus, Marcion and Valentino, all ancient heresiarchs, how would it have been more profitable if you had taken up the texts of St. Augustine.
Reading Saint Augustine you would have come across one who was always in the presence of Jesus. He spoke to him explicitly, while continuing to philosophize and argue, as you can see in the Confessions.
Or else he reasoned in the light of God and expressed his love and gratitude to him in an impersonal way by reflecting on the events of history, as in De Civitate Dei.

5. The Sumerian tablets testify that men have always had at heart the problem of origins, of creation.
And they answered you with what you can read in those tablets.
But the influence on Israel is to be discarded precisely because of the rigid monotheism of the Old Testament and precisely because of the will of these people not to mix with other peoples, neither in culture nor in religious traditions and practices.
Even today observant Jews are jealous of all this.
And it is an admirable fact that in the various millennia and in the succession of various cultures these people, although reduced in number, are jealous of their own identity, as a response to God’s jealousy towards them.
They will remain until the end of the world, as witnesses of all this.
St Paul clearly states this in Romans 11.
Their mass conversion will be the sure sign of the glorious return of Christ to earth for the end of the world.
Then they too will enter the Church.
In that Church that the Masons take for granted because they look at it with a purely human eye, while it is continually guarded and renewed by Christ, with a force that is not human, but celestial.
How come, so wise, are they unable to read history?6. Your conclusion is beautiful: “I hope that the church will decide to give concrete answers to the spiritual needs of so many confused believers.
I hope that, for once, we fight fire with fire”.
Pray to Jesus Christ to send new workers to his harvest.
Ask for it for the intercession of Mary Most Holy, with the Holy Rosary in hand.
I am sure he will listen to you.
Pray for me too, so that the Lord will give me strength in this ministry, which is not a job, also because it is not paid by any man.
I thank you for your outburst.
I remind you to the Lord and I bless you.
