With Holy Christmas 2024 we enter the jubilee of Holy Year 2025.
We, Dominican Friends, cannot forget that the jubilee in honor of St. Thomas Aquinas continues in the 750th of his death (1274) and the 800th of his birth (1225).
Precisely in reference to Christmas, William of Tocco, who was the first biographer of St. Thomas and wrote the so-called Positio for his canonization, reports, “As for our doctor, every year on that feast he used to receive a new vision of the Son of God and the glorious Virgin, which infused him with a new joy and nourished his never satiated soul.”(t.n.)
The wish for the visitors to the website is just this: that all may have, if not a new vision (indeed too much!), a new enlightenment about the Son of God and the glorious Virgin, that infuses new joy and nourishes our spiritual lives.
This is as sanctifying as we could wish for!
I bless you and remember you all in the Midnight Mass.
Fr. Angelo,
p.s. Father Angelo’s wishes are joined by those of Pasquale (web master) and all the staff of contributors.
