A beautiful book that explains the meaning of Loreto’s litanies

my husband has a great devotion to Mary and is fascinated by the litanies that conclude the Rosary.

He asks me to forward this question to you:

Can you recommend a text in which Mary’s attributes are explained, such as the Mystical Rose, the Ivory Tower… which are not immediately understandable?

Dearest Alessandra,

I am very happy that your husband has a great devotion to Mary. And I am sure that you will be happy with it and that for this reason too you respect him more and are even more fond of him.

The text I recommend is the following: NEWMAN, Maria, Iaca Book, Milan 1994.

Initially Newman was Anglican. Having become Catholic, he became a priest, bishop of London and cardinal.

In this work he describes the reasons for his Christian devotion to Mary, the mother of the Lord.

It is a very persuasive and compelling text.

In the second part there is the explanation of some invocations of the Loreto Litanies.

So as not to make it too long now, I will send you tomorrow the transcription of his comment on the title of Mystical Rose.
